Akelah boasts an amazing pedigree. The number of awards and titles in her lineage are almost too numerous to count. Akelah’s beautiful conformation and personality are a testament to her well bred history. The consistency of structure and temperament she brings to her offspring is noteworthy. Akelah’s outgoing character is exceptional. Her interactive, expressive nature allows her to charm her way into your heart. Akelah came to the United States from Sweden in winter of 2001.  She had been mated in Sweden and whelped her first litter her in the US.  She has earned her international champion ship title through the International All breed Canine Association, with several Best Opposite Sex placements.  However, Akelah’s most crowning achievement has been her efforts to increase the United States’ Finnish Lapphund population by a total of 16 puppies. Akelah truly has a Mother’s heart that is evident in all that she does.  While she is retired from breeding, it has been an honor and privilege to have her as our first foundation female.
